BBC Gardeners’ World star Adam Frost has admitted to an ongoing “tussle” with his wife Sulina concerning their garden, offering insight into his personal life away from the cameras.
Adam has captured the affection of audiences on the cherished BBC programme, gaining recognition for his gardening expertise and prize-winning displays at the Chelsea Flower Show.
The 53-year-old television personality has harboured a passion for nature since childhood, dedicating countless hours in his grandparents’ greenhouse.
Beyond the television studio, Adam continues to cultivate his enthusiasm for horticulture. During an appearance on the Mike The Gardener podcast, he revealed that he was creating his own fresh garden space. It comes as a BBC Escape To The Country star opened up on a life-changing decision after a health scare.

Nevertheless, Adam acknowledged that he had faced disputes with his wife concerning their outdoor space. He told podcast presenter Mike Palmer that they both have differing ideas for their garden.
When asked about who serves as the ‘head gardener’, Adam remarked: “I try and apply the rules, let’s say I apply the rules 80% of the time.
“But then, all of a sudden, the plantaholic gets in there, and then it goes a little bit awry and he starts planting the other things that he shouldn’t be planting.
“Mrs Frost plays a big part, the battle in the garden really is, I’m quite untidy and I like everything to be really scruffy around the edges, she is not so into all that.”

In the podcast episode, Adam revealed that the garden had “all been planned” – he had organised the structural plants and was starting to add the herbaceous layers.
However, the star confessed that the most significant “battle” between him and his wife revolves around the garden, particularly when he returns home after being away for a few days.
He added: “I would say that there’s one moment of tension in our garden. It’s when I go away for a few days and I come back and I’m sure my garden is a lot tidier.
“And then I’m meant to be grateful that it looks tidier.”
The British garden designer has previously shared that his passion for gardening is also enjoyed by his wife and their four children, Abi-Jade, Jacob, Amber-Lily and Oakley.
