ALLEN COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) – The Allen County Master Gardeners wrapped up their Brown Bag Series for the season on Tuesday, giving local gardening enthusiasts one last opportunity to learn new skills.
Attendees learned how to create a fall wreath using plants they might already have in their yards. Organizers encouraged participants to take a walk around their property and take note of what could be repurposed for seasonal décor. Anything from hydrangeas to vines can be used to create a unique wreath.
“These are dried Annabelle hydrangeas. I would add these at the end, since they’re more delicate and dried, but basically just trying to get people to look around their yard with a different view and see what they could possibly use to make something pretty,” said Master Gardener Suzy Daley.
While gardeners were sad to see the Brown Bag Series end, many expressed excitement about returning for next year’s events.
