Germination tips? I’ve only managed to sprout 2 Pelargonium Tristes, and a Dioscorea(I think, id check also?)

First time trying to grow from seed here, my process so far described below, and also looking for an ID on the first picture. Planted Dioscorea, Stephania cepherantha, Pachypodium Rosulatum var. Gracilius, and Pelargonium Tristes.

Started all seeds on July 11th. I poured boiling water into my soil mix to sterilize, thought about soaking seeds in water, but decided against it. Planted depth based on recommendations(most like 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep). Temps are between 70 at night to 77 most of the time during the day, sometimes getting to 80. Definitely was keeping it too moist in the beginning, grew some whitish mold or fungus, or it may also just be a part of my soil mix(Sun Gro black gold mix). Should I mist the top of the seed trays with 3% peroxide? Curious if I botched this some way, or if these guys just take a while sometimes/bad seeds? Any other tips/must do's I may be missing?
