Hello! I’ve had my fiddle leaf fig for about five months, and it’s been doing really well. Each new set of leaves has come in larger than the previous ones, and they’ve always opened without any issues. About three weeks ago, it produced two healthy new leaves, and just a few days ago I noticed it was about to push out more growth. This time, though, the new leaf came in much smaller, wrinkled, and paler in color. It also has some red/purple spotting on it. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

It’s normal, give it some time.
Looks like the new leaf is growing in with edema. It’s a condition where new leaves grow with reddish splotches on them, caused by inconsistent or overwatering while that leaf was forming. Most leaves just grow out of it, not a big deal!
