Advice about laying roll out lawn

Hey, just looking for some advice regarding roll out instant turf. We recently brought a house and it has fake turf (have seen in pictures it used to have real grass).
This is what it looks like when listing the artificial turf. So couple of questions:
Will I have to add top dress soil to the ground below before laying new turf?
Secondly the ground is almost level with the pavers, will it need to be dug out deeper?
