I’m pretty sure there are thrips on my 16-day old cherry tomatoes but I need confirmation.

I’m a beginner at planting, and I began seeing the stippling dots around 4 days ago when I also started hardening off my plants. I thought it was a problem with too much sunlight (I leave them out in direct sunlight from 5 AM to 8 AM, 27 to 33 degrees Celsius, and then move them in the shade after) or overwatering (I water at 5 AM until I can see water dripping from the pothole, and supplement lightly at early evening if it seems dry). But then I saw two small insects crawling on the topsoil, although I couldn’t identify them. I planted my cherry tomatoes in different containers (terracota pots, seed starters, old ice cream containers) and only the ones in terracota pots have been showing signs of thrips (or whatever this is). I also find this weird because all of them are placed close to each other, with only about an inch of space between each container. Can anyone confirm if this is indeed thrips or maybe something else? ☹️
