Figure out how much clearance the utility companies require around each unit before doing anything. You know they will need access right when you’ve paid off the fence or that plant has just set its first flowers.
I put up a picket fence in front of the assortment of utility towers in my side yard but neighbor was putting the same up to surround her cottage garden so it blended in well. Not sure how you can justify a 20′ solid fence right there. Use the same fence as elsewhere and cover with vines?
I’d remove 10′ of lawn in front and plant a shrubbery. Flowering shrubs, ornamental grasses and fill in with large scale perennials and a ground cover. Any excuse to get rid of lawn and buy more beautiful plants… The existing tree and shrub would be a great backdrop and look a bit lost right now.
