Roblox has hit an incredible milestone of over 47 million concurrent players thanks to a simultaneous special event. The gaming platform features a massive collection of user-made games that mostly target an audience of young players. Recently, though, Roblox has been making headlines for reaching impressive milestones thanks to several professional and well-crafted titles.
This weekend, two of the most popular Roblox games, Grow a Garden and Steal a Brainrot, hosted a special Admin Wars event that brought an influx of players to both titles. According to a LinkedIn post by Michael Herriger, CEO at Atlas Creative (which creates branded games for Roblox), the Admin Wars events boosted the concurrent players count of the entire platform to new heights.
Roblox Passes 47 Million Concurrent Players This Weekend
Two Big Games Are Mostly To Thank
This weekend’s event drew millions of players to the Roblox platform through the two games Grow a Garden and Steal a Brainrot. The collaboration features an epic clash between Grow a Garden creator Jandel and Steal a Brainrot creator SpyderSammy. Players who log into either game this weekend can participate in special admin-only events, earn exclusive rewards, and wage mock “war” against each other.
Both games were already incredibly popular on the Roblox platform, with Grow a Garden surpassing the record concurrent player count of Fortnite earlier this month. The collaboration encouraged fans to tune in this weekend and log into their game of choice, driving the total concurrent player count on Roblox to 47 million.
The previous all-time high concurrent player count was 30 million, as reported by Roblox in June. In just two months, the platform has increased by nearly 20 million players.
Roblox Stocks Are On The Rise Despite Controversies
The Numbers Don’t Lie
Roblox has been in the news quite a bit over the past few weeks, and it hasn’t all been for positive reasons. The platform has been mired in controversy for years, which came to a head with a lawsuit over child safety concerns earlier this week.
In spite of the negative press, the gaming platform continues to pull in millions of players with its unique games. Roblox stocks are on the rise again after sliding back from record highs, seemingly unperturbed by the controversy.
The platform’s easy access to development tools gives creators the freedom to create the games they want, which has led to creative and offbeat titles like Grow a Garden and Steal a Brainrot to come to life. As Roblox games continue to gain popularity, the mainstream media and general public are starting to take notice.
