The “lush, mature landscape” of 148 Waterview Drive has been selected as the Garland County Master Gardeners Yard of the Month for August, according to a news release.

“The centerpiece of the landscape is the circular driveway which frames a large fountain featuring a beautiful rock sculpture. The water feature is surrounded by fountain grass and flag iris. The adjoining beds feature magnolia trees and crepe myrtles underlaid with lantana, pink azaleas, elephant ears, hydrangea and yaupon holly,” the release said.

“The area of the front door is graced by a number of Japanese maples, hydrangea and numerous potted flowers. Graceful statuary and artistic touches can be found throughout the property. A winding path to the lake is lined with lovely ferns, lantana, azaleas, periwinkle, orange coreopsis and grasses,” it said.

“The backyard has been transformed into a serene, tranquil retreat with a multi-level waterfall. Not only does it create dynamic movement, the water cascading over different heights adds depth and interest to this stunning backyard landscape.”
