The annual event will run from Friday, September 26 to Monday, September 29, and will celebrate Dorset’s natural beauty and heritage.

With the theme “The Delights of Dorset,” the festival will showcase floral arrangements of iconic Dorset landmarks.

These will be crafted by various local flower clubs, church teams and the Wimborne Minster flower arrangers.

Festival designer Christine Oliver said: “The organisers of the Wimborne Minster Flower Festival wish to express their grateful thanks to Wimborne BID for the grant given towards the cost of the flowers being used in the festival.”

She added: “Hopefully, this event will bring many extra people into town which will not only benefit the Minster but also the businesses and traders of Wimborne.”

Some of the floral exhibits will include Corfe Castle and a 16-foot-long floral dinosaur, Demelza, a Megalosaurus vegetarian and her baby, Dino.

Wimborne BID chair Fiona Pawsey said: “Flower festivals have graced Wimborne Minster since the 1950s.

“Wimborne BID is proud to support this cherished tradition, powered by the passion and dedication of countless volunteers.”
