Waterfront Botanical Gardens held its third annual art, culture, and nature festival on Saturday. The Kaleidoscope Family Festival offers a multisensory experience for local families to interact with nature. The KMAC Contemporary Art Museum, the Louisville Water Company, and the Jefferson County Master Gardeners were just a few of the many local businesses and vendors that attended the event, each bringing a unique insight into the wonders of nature.Guests were able to taste, smell, hear, feel, and see the many ways that nature impacts daily life. The main event was the band Rhythm Science Sound. The band takes electrical impulses from plants and turns them into rhythmic music. There was also an herb petting zoo and opportunities to create art by using natural dyes and other plant materials. Guests could enjoy a variety of food and drinks and take part in the many vendor booths throughout the gardens.
