In this short, I show how to plant your blueberry bush the correct way. If you want loads of blueberries, try this planting method. It is important to add peat moss to the planting hole to help create the acidic, well draining soil they love. This will also help with moisture retention.

My dad taught me the same….
Peatmoss retains moisture.
lol, out side Raleigh, I need a back hoe to plant a small bush, two inches of dirt, then solid clay
That's the nice thing about blueberries where I am in New England. No amendments needed! They just GROW! (At least something does. ๐๐)
I have clay! And I would love some blueberry plants, can you help me with clay, Fredericktown, Missouri ๐ God bless.๐บ๐ฒ๐๐โ๏ธ
That soil acidifier does not work right away. It takes months to effectively work.
I just planted blueberries. Wish I saw this before I planted.
I never thought of using peat moss. How dumb am I? Thank you.
I love the thoroughbreds of the planting
Loving your shorts!

After watching 2 of your videos, I had to subscribe. Bad times will require this! Besides, who couldn't use a little more $ left over after grocery day?
What did you add in step 6 ? Please
Easy to follow Great !!!
tell why u add peat moss
I have a blackberry bush and a bunch of Grape trees I picked up at Walmart. How do I plant them in a pot? Also a peach tree.
This guy is top-class. Very clear step by step instructions. He's got a very engaging personality too. Excellent sir, well done and I wish you every success for the future. Good luck, from Scotland, U.K.
AH BLACK KOW!!! Best stuff ever!!! My grandma got me using Black Kow over 20 years ago and its a shame they dont sell it out west where i moved, i brought two bags 2000 miles with me. The box store composted manure out here is a joke, mostly sand, twigs, and mulch and hardly any cow patties it'd make better cacti dirt than compost. Black Kow is full on rich black manure compost, maybe only ever seen a piece or two of mulch in a bag.
My favorite thing about it is 1.) Definitely a quality product and 2.) Its super affordable and you get more double the quantity for half the price of competitors 20lb bags.
Is it still $1.50 – $3 for the 50lb bags? Thats about what it was 6 years ago before i moved from Florida, id buy a bag or two almost every week when id go to walmart or the nursery. Kept my 2 acres nice n fed.
My yard aint got nothing on my grandmas though, her 5 acres was lush and floral as all get out. She planted everything with BK and top dressed with it too, the daily rains watered it in good.
Might have to look into getting a few pallets of it freighted in now honestly. Never thought id be so nostalgic over cow dookie lol.
I bought several bags of black cow dung and transported it in my car and I had to shampoo my entire car interior to get rid of the smell lmao
Can you make longer videos please?
Gloves sir ๐
Dude, my soil tested at a pH of 4.98. My first thought was "better get some blueberry bushes!"
Check the ph before doing all that. In clay soil you likely won't need the soil acidifier!
Good stuff bro!!!๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
Straight to the point
What was the white bag after planting the bush before putting top soil?
Best video I've found so far!
Thank you for NOT taking 10 minutes to describe what a blueberry bush is before giving directions! LOL. Those kinds of videos try my patience. Yours got the facts going right out the gate. Much love!
Good stuff. Very helpful.
This is the kind of no nonsense straight to the point give me the step-by-step guide I was looking for. Not 20 minutes waxing eloquent about how the soil needs to be acidic for blueberries to be happy. I already know that I need to know what step four is. And you gave it to us. Instant subscribe!
They like full sun or half shade ?
