This was my Dad's cactus and the only good picture I have of it. It had it since he was in highschool in the 70's until around 2014. As you can see it got to epic propositions and was always a conversation piece when people would visit the home I grew up in.
There's a picture of me next to this cactus not long after I was born and it was probably 5'-6' tall then. This picture was probably around 2009-2010 and it had completely grown into the sky light of our two story home.
I was wondering if anyone could identify it because I'd like to get one of my own again. I probably won't let it get to this size but it would be cool to have a nice memory from my childhood back in my house now that I'm around the age my dad was when he had me. Thanks!

Not a cactus, a *Euphorbia trigona*.
Looks like African milk tree (Euphorbia trigona)
This is amazing! What size is the pot I wonder
You get a couple of different Euphorbia trigona varieties, in addition to the standard green one. ‘Rubra’ is quite pretty, and you also get some variegated ones.
The natural distribution of cacti are restricted to the Americas, but Euphorbia are kind of Africa’s version of them. But Euphorbiaceae and Cactaceae are two very distinct plant families that aren’t closely related.
