    looks like a canna lily and if so, it can be used as a margin plant for ponds as well.dry or wet they will grow.

    Canna Lily and they WILL take over!! Plan on separating builds every 2-3 years also.

    In 6a, they are not hardy, so I dig the tubers up every fall after first frost and store them in my house for the winter. I replant them in my containers in the spring and they multiply each year. I love the tropical look of them and the height in my planters. I also get loads of hummingbirds on them.
