We took a train from Paris to Vernon. Then we took a shuttle from the Vernon station to Giverny, the home of Claude Monet. Monet spent the later years of his life in Giverny. He would often paint the lily pads from his Japanese bridges. The water lily pond was my favorite part of this experience. Inside his house are several of his paintings as well as paintings by Pizarro, Renoir, and Japanese prints by Utamaro, Hokusai, and Hiroshige.
