Interested in starting an organic vegetable garden? Curious about composting? Looking for ways to volunteer in a community garden or connect with local organizations? Or maybe you just want fun activities for kids?
Join the Northeast Earth Coalition (NEEC) on September 6 for Montclair Harvest Day, a celebration of sustainable gardening, local volunteers and community spirit.
Event highlights:
Free and open to all
Harvest-themed recipe exchange (bring a favorite recipe to share)
Food drive for the NEEC Free Little Pantry (bring nonperishable items to donate)
Opportunities to learn about organic gardening and composting
Community groups welcome to table
The NEEC Free Little Pantries provide food for neighbors in need at 18 locations across five towns, so donations will directly support local families.
