I’ve had this FLF since it was about 3 feet tall, and it’s been generally happy in the ensuing 8-9 years. My wife and I went out of town for about 10 days, and in that time it dropped 5-6 leaves, mostly from the upper bough.
Obviously, it keeps leaning towards more sunlight, but I’m worried that in another year, it may be so top heavy it topples over.
I’m suspecting you’ll say I should chop it, but I was wondering if I could chop the top which is still lush, and then graft it on further down.
Any help or pointers would be much appreciated!

Chop it and propagate but yea both pieces will need more light
You may want to check the roots and repot if you’re gonna chop anyway
Chop it, prop it and move it directly in front of the window.
Graft it on further down? Gonna have to explain whatchu talkin about bud.
I suggest chopping it back..just keep 1/2 of trunk..and move it closer to window..
Do it soon..Autumn is coming!
..and l suggest putting a saucer beneath the pot instead of this basket..you can pour excess water away after watering easily
