I guess the title says it all?

I got this plant at Trader Joe's and replanted it 2 days later. I untangled the most roots I could and even bought like a nice soil for it.

Since I repotted this recently, I have only watered it once. There is a drainage spot at the bottom of the pot. The plant gets a medium amount of light for a couple hours a day and then just a regular amount of slight daylight.

No way looks at bit leggy though. Trim her up and good as new. New growth will fill back in and on top of that u get some basil to dry out and use as needed.

It’ll need more light than it can get in that location. Recommend about a 10W LED grow light, or a 24W larger bulb placed higher up, which would benefit all the plants on your table.

You’ll also want to feed regularly with a dilute fertilizer. Just about any liquid fertilizer will do, at about half strength weekly. Maxsea is great, Miracle Grow is fine too.

Finally, don’t overwater. Basil is a drama queen and looks like death when it’s even slightly dry, but don’t worry, it will bounce back. Let the leaves slightly wilt before you water it again.

I have a TJ’s basil as well going on about 3 months now, so it can be done!

If you are able to, put it put it outside. It needs a lot more light, hence the long stems.
