Maybe call the forgotten place: Second chance alley?
I think maybe you just want some privacy while doing yard work and most people are in their back yard .
Actually I did see the other videos this weekend. I love the red and you should do that all the time. I also was inspired by your red and added it to my gardens. I just got back from the Michigan upper peninsula and after 10 days I arrived home to see weeds that were taller than me. Holy moly! Now I need to hire someone to help me weed all the crabgrass. I walked around today and pruned and pruned and pruned and cut my lavender down by half and tomorrow I will prune down all the roses. And getting the uglies out of the way like you say is important so that I can finish the other things I need to do out there
Sorry I missed video. Live in Texas, I am safe, but glued to news about deaths, severe flooding on Guadalupe River. Tragic situation. Please keep all in your prayers.
Now I’m watching, all ears!
Yes, Linda you have got me addicted to topiaries. I just bought 6 Japanese Box Woods and I turned them into Topiary's. I'm loving it, thank you sooo much. It's a great addition to my country cottage garden. Have a great week.
Look at the time from 57-59 minutes. Smart televisions are usually huge.
I enjoy re-watching Linda’s videos just like I enjoy re-watching Grace and Frankie for probably the 8th time 😂
Your husband has interesting taste in things to collect, as well as mine.
My husband gave me a bag of polished rocks for our anniversary one year. It was magical. You couldn't hate that! ❤
You’re pronunciation is incorrect, just thought I’d let you know since a lot of WW 2 veterans wives might be cringing, Japanese, Hiroshima is pronounced "Hee-roh-shee-mah". The name means "broad island" and is written in Japanese as 広島.
I love both your front and back yards. Yes, I took your instructions on how to make topiary and bought several plants just so I can practice. I'm not confident yet like you are, and second guess myself as I think I cut off too much.
Oh, Linda what I do my Iris are cut and they look so lonely what do I do…..
MUGA
Ugh the deer ate my only Hydrangea bloom .. I just planted it
I love both the front and back yards! I think in person (although I haven't been there!) I would love to spend time in your front yard and take the time to look at all the many plants and discover all the sweet little hidden gems. I wonder if you get more engagement with the back yard because the "white space" there makes for better pictures. You have the patio, the steps, the brick wall backdrop of the garage, etc. It gives the eye lots of places to rest and perhaps works to highlight the plants more. Just a theory! I really do love both!
I like both yards … love seeing people sitting in front and the back… with umbrellas.. gathering 💯🥰
Very inspiring! Thanks
I got notifications AND I always go looking for anything NEW FROM LINDA AND STEWART! If I don’t hear from yall I look. So yes, I’ve seen this video-s
I like the colors in the front, but I am an introvert and I like the coziness of the back because it’s closed off and I like the brick and shade. I don’t go on Instagram for long though because I can’t click on much without being pulled into some kind of doomscrolling nightmare trying to resemble real life.
The photographs of the gardens in Hiroshima, Japan , feel very calming and so beautiful. Thank you, Julia and Andrew, for sharing the transformation from a very sad time in history to its current beauty.
Saw the videos – an important part in my (garden)life.
Thanks and greetings from Austria!
I'm in UK and I saw the original videos. I think it's lovely how you are nurturing your daughter in law to be a good media host, like you are. Her food display looked wonderful. Can I come to the party, lol! Regarding the wonderful gardens at Hiroshima can I be serious and political briefly. Oddly I was listening to a UK radio programme the other day about the gardens of Hiroshima. I know that a blackened blasted cherry tree at the heart of the blast area put out a sprig of blossom the next spring. Most of us of a certain age were brought up with the mutually assured destruction and barren nuclear winter for hundreds of years scenario. Now,it is MY PERSONAL IDEA that Chernobyl (posed as an 'accident') was actually a Controlled Experiment. Certain person's had thought hmm what if life (not human life) but plants + critters come back after a nuclear explosion . What if we get ourselves a bunker in New Zealand (bad news folks you gotta share it with Noel Edmonds),then emerge to a new world. No annoying humans especially poor ones, the most irritating. Just a pristine world for us and our chosen heirs. Now from that perspective the reality is a bit more scary. If you think about it but I don't. This remark is too political so just ignore it. But I had to write it because I think this is significant.
Linda and Kayla… do you have issues with wild violets in your area? I’m just about 2 hours directly north of you in KS and I have wild violets taking over 2 of my flower beds. I’ve tried industrial vinegar and salt solution, and dead weed brew. I’ve pulled them, and I think it made them worse! Do you have any suggestions? Thank you so much!
Sneak some garden vegetables in those new beds next year. Full sun, no bending over to pick, stand on the sidewalk and pick your bounty.
I love the red tones in your backyard livingroom! You are an inspiration 🙂
I saw these as well Linda. Thank you.
I got the fever!
Totally because of you that I've started my own little topiary pots!
I have to know about that darling apron! Please share your source! Love your community!
I love the pops of red in the back. I love all of your yards but I am drawn more to the back. Maybe because it is more of a hang out space but the brick patio "rug" makes it!!
Omg went out and bought a green mountain boxwood to make a topiary – wish me luck 🍀
The backyard took awhile but is really filling in nicely and is quite striking. It is surprising to me how much I like it now. Perhaps there is more architectural interest both in the home/garage and hardscape, but also with more structured boxwood plantings. The contrast of the greens and reds is quite attractive on camera. The front yard is softer in color and texture and there is less hardscape so perhaps even though it is incredibly beautiful, it may not be as striking on camera. Just a thought.
I have caught topiary fever by watching you… topiary in Texas🌳
I love the privacy of the back yard to sit and lounge about🪴🌱
Already watched these videos.
Love all your tips! I’ve had chickens for years and have used chicken grit for years, not realizing I could his for my pots. I buy it buy 50lb bags. Who knew
Is annabelle hydrangea gone rebloom after you prune them second time
Another fun look at your garden. What is the beautiful piano music playing during the Hiroshima portion? I have become infected with topiary fever!!! Thank you❤
I love both front and back yards. They have different vibes and thus just like us we like to be in different spaces for our own different vibes. You are an inspiration. Even though I watched your garden go from nothing to what it is today, I still stand all amazed!!!
Hi, Linda! Love your channel, I watch you everyday…I was thinking for your new garden area by the sidewalk or the alley, wouldn’t the kids and parents love a “little library” where they can borrow books? You could have it made to match your cottage or to go with it in some way. ❤
🙋🏻♀️…I just bought my first topiary from Home Depot…already “topiary-ed”🤩
I think the backyard is a calmer garden. As much as I loved watching the creation of the front garden it just a bit much for my garden diet. I've learned so much from you and have been inspired to recreate in my own garden ❤
I love making topiary…thank you, Linda, for all your tips over the years!!😊
lLinda. this beautiful pumkin should be removed from the little olive tree and rosemary,
because pumpkins need a lot of water.
The front and back yard are beautiful, each in their own way – a lot of effort and love❣
Happy holiday!
