Hi, I’m worried about my peace lily. It has a lot of yellow leaves. I just recently repotted it and changed the soil out. This pot is larger than the previous one it was in as the plant looked pretty root bound before, but I’m concerned I may have picked way too big of a pot now. I think I overwatered it a few days ago (like on Sunday) when I repotted it. But most of the water drained out. It’s getting adequate sunlight I believe, it’s a few feet away from a western facing window. This is my first peace lily (houseplant period) so I’m looking to learn how to keep it alive and thriving.

I would just let it settle for now and leave it be. It probably got shocked a bit from repotting. How often do you water normally
You can gently remove the yellow leaves. It’ll bounce back
They are drama queens. Just give her time to bounce back.
If you overwatered it, you can help draw water out faster by putting it on something like an old towel or paper towels.
What kind of soil did you use? That could be playing a role too.
Could possibly be buried too deep in the soil. It’s hard to tell from the photo but if it’s buried too deep the soil will suffocate the roots.
Could be worth a shot to carefully wiggle it up in the pot a bit to give the roots some air.
