It seems like a Sedum Adolphi to me. I don’t see any pieces broke but leaves. Let them as they’re now in the soil.
In a few weeks you’ll have new tiny plants from them.
Congratulations you’ve got baby succulents now.
He’s just propagating them for you lol. Leave them there and enjoy new plants.
