Water – ones a week
Light – indoor, near window light through the day (currently rainy her so some days light is cloudy)
I’ve had this for three years as it grew out from a single plant. This is the first time I saw it go yellow suddenly 6-7 stems and shed its leaves. Not repotted in two years. I only topped up some soil 3 weeks ago. Please help.

I wouldn’t know the ground how do you feel it? It could be root rot
This looks like a zz plant. You should be watering these things like once a month, if even.
Adding soil to the top of the pot is not advisable. You don’t want to cover more than the roots.
Watering once a week can be too much for a ZZ too.
I’d remove it from the pot, check for root rot. ZZs grow tubers that look like potatoes, so don’t be surprised by that.
If you put it in a bigger pot, add the soil to the bottom, not the top. The parts of the plant that are above ground need air flow, they can rot if buried.
If you’ve never fertilized, add some granules when you repot. Or water it in after you repot.
Looks like a ZZ plant and it might be getting overwatered. Does the soil hold a lot of moisture or does it dry out quickly? Does the pot have a drainage hole and is it draining when you water?
If its consistently moist might be worth considering transitioning to longer watering intervals to give it an opportunity to dry out in between. If your pot doesn’t have a drainage hole it might be worth considering repotting into one that does so the water drains out and doesn’t pool.
Gorgeous plant! Hope it recovers soon!
Once a week for a ZZ is far too much watering, they need watering maybe once a month. Take the plant out and clean the soil off completely, cut off all the rotten roots and remove all the rotten stems. Put the plant into a fresh pot with fresh well draining soil and drainage holes, and water once a month
