You garden is beautiful. When it gets cold, will you remove the Mangave from the mixed container to protect the Mangave or overwinter the succulent companions along with the Mangave under the house? ….or let the Mangave and succulets endure winter outside?
In full sun, some of my sun loving plants developed sunburned areas on their leaves during last 40 days of 90+ degrees without rain, but there is an astounding amount of new growth.
In full sun, this year I planted only 20 Black Madras rice seed just to compare with the look of last year's crowded container. The foliage appears to be only the red-ish purple color with no greenish colors, even though it's the same seed and same location. Can't help but wonder if the foliage color is due to the extra space in the container, more hot sun or both?
