I was gifted this fiddle leaf from a friend as they no longer want to care for it. I thought I could nurse it back to health but I’m not sure if it’s even alive anymore.
When I first got it, it was the same height but with a few more leafs than this one. They all fell off soon after I watered it for the first time. This little top one is still hanging on tho.
He sits about 2’ from a south window, Chicago summers have been quite hot but I try to keep an eye on if he needs water. I’m not sure what else to do besides water when the soil is dry and hope for some green soon.
Any and all help is appreciated, if he is gone please let me know that too tho, I can take it 🙃

I think he still has a chance!!!! Lots of tender love n care for sure is needed
I’d cut the trunk leaving about a foot left. Should start shooting out new leaves/branches in 2-4 weeks
