Found this one in my local FB marketplace. $550 seems waaay overpriced. Labeled as "25 year old bonsai". Are these local bonsai stands getting out of control?
I feel like this is air layered from a 25 year olf tree and being called 25 years old.

Unfortunately they’ve always been this out of control. I think they’re best ignored because they’ll stop doing it as much if the market diminishes, but there’s always going to be someone who is uninitiated to bonsai and ends up getting ripped off. In my opinion that’s best alleviated by hammering home awareness as much as possible and using these posts as PSAs.
