What type of grass do I have? What is the ideal length I should keep it at?

I keep it high but finding out that some of the leaves are sitting instead of standing! I think I need to go shorter?

I water in the mornings and cut the grass on weekends

Perfect grass. All I can tell from this photo. Find some identification guides online, get up close to your blades and find the match. There will be cutting height recommendations

  2. Take a few pictures close up and try the PictureThis app. Looks happy and healthy though, good job!

  3. That is some glorious grass. Looks like TTTF to me but I don’t really know what I’m talking about.

I’d keep it high, 3.5″-4″, unless some blades laying over bother you, looks great. Also better to water deeply and less often (not every morning) but your lawn looks so good I’d keep doing whatever you’re doing!

Thinner blades says KBG to me. And it looks great.

I cut mine at about 4″ usually..

Some kind of tall fescue I’d guess. Whatever you are doing is working, so no need to ask for recommendations here. Watering every morning is a lot though, but again, it looks great and green unlike my sun roasted lawn. I go 3.5-4″ in the heat of summer. Spring goes shorter to chop down weeds. Fall is again shorter to help with leaf cleanup.

How long do you water every morning? How tall is your current HOC (height of cut)?

Kentucky blue or Tall fescue. Are the blades thin or wider?

Looks like weeds to me. Hit it with some glyphosate.

I’m jealous and being a hater right now…

I’d like to know if your lawn was grown by seed or was that new sod installed on your lawn, looks awesome, looks like you recently fertilized
