Grow a Garden’s latest update contains some fairytale inspiration, but good news, everyone: instead of an angry giant, the top of this beanstalk promises wonderful and exclusive rewards for those members of the community who contribute to its growth.

In order to further the beanstalk effort, you can donate a variety of different plants to the event NPC, Jack. Berry Plants are just one of several varieties you’ll need to cultivate; check out our Grow a Garden Berry Plants list below to see what he’s after.

Grow a Garden Berry Plants list

Now this is where you might find yourself getting tripped up, because according to Grow a Garden, berries and fruits are entirely different categories of plants, and while there’s some overlap, Jack won’t accept one in place of the other if he deems a berry not fruity enough or vice versa.

To help you prove to Jack that you know your onions – erm, strawberries – this list features all plants classed as Berries in Grow a Garden:

While most berries do also classify as fruits in Grow a Garden, it’s worth noting that Celestiberries and Elder Strawberries are seemingly the exceptions to this rule. However, your best bet for satisfying Jack’s craving for berries is to harvest regular Strawberries: they’re the most common type, and each one is worth 1/7 of an Elder Strawberry when totting up beanstalk points, which really adds up given how much easier they are to obtain!
