Love the design, thought I always encourage more plants, less grass.

I generated more ideas with my landscaping web app if you want to see them I’ll send them via PM 😀

What could go wrong? Someone taking a right and going down the driveway-path-entry into your house lol

Funny how the AI gave you an extra 200 sqft and window in the 3rd photo.

I cannot recommend enough an actual landscape designer. AI can help visual an idea (though they mostly end up looking like all the other AI landscaping), but a real designer can show you what’s actually possible.

Having plants too close to your house is what could go wrong. Because of the perspective view of looking at a house with plants people are accustomed to seeing plants ‘up against’ a house… but you don’t want this.

You don’t want plants up against/touching/ brushing your house for several reasons.

    1. If you can’t see your siding, you can’t tell if your siding is damaged.

    2. If you can’t squeeze yourself between your plants and your house it’s more difficult/more expensive to repair the exterior of the house or maintain/replace the plant.

    3. Plant matter touching the house can invite pests into the house.

    4. The sound of leaves/branches scraping against your house/window is super creepy.

    5. While your house is made to withstand the weather, you want to avoid constantly directing water toward your house/foundation.

Obviously there are exceptions, like when people are married to the idea of vines on their house, or when there is established landscaping near a house, but you generally want air flow and a low risk of moisture intrusion right next to your house.
