I clean the house of an 88 year old and she has this giant (5'5") African milk tree in the darkest corner of her living room. She got the original cutting from her best friend over 15 years ago. Her friend has passed some years ago and she hasn't had the heart to part with this tree to just anyone. Cue me, 61 plants so far, and growing. Lol.
I exclaim over what a cool plant it is and a week later she offers it to me!! To say I am deeply honored is an understatement.
I will treasure it forever.
Only one top branch broke in its journey over to my place. I have it drying in my storage room to replant it in a week or so, back into the original pot.
I think it will be very happy with the rest of my succulents, cacti and my one purple passion I keep with them as it hates the humidifiers going on it my other plant areas.

Damn, that little guy was really giving it his all to survive in that corner. A very sweet story, and hopefully a sweeter life for this survivor.
