    It’s called vivipary. I’ve seen that in tomatoes, never in apples, but why not.

    Yes, and it surprised the heck out of me! I planted it, and now have a 3′ tall apple tree! I’ll probably be dead before it produces fruit but 🤷🏼‍♀️

    When I order apples from Walmart instead of going in to get them this happens. What I’ve read is when they get cold it like speeds up the sprouting process. So I’m assuming the shopper at Walmart puts them in the fridge with the rest of the food.

    As others have said, plant them! It’s hard as heck to get apple seeds to sprout when you want them to lol
