Pretty sure he has mealy bugs so I'm going to me spraying and washing him down after work.
I don't know how long to water for and at the moment hes in indirect sun.
Was thinking about putting him in Leca and fish water but I don't know if that'll work or not

Jungle Velvet Calathea, or Calathea Warscewiczii (sorry that’s not properly formatted/italics). I saved one from a Lowe’s clearance rack a couple months ago. So far I’ve learned mine likes: bright light via an eastern-facing window, forever moist soil, and a humidifier running up thru its foliage from below.
Does NOT like: hard water, TX outdoor heat and/or direct sunlight. I water mine once every two days or so, with the humidifier running for 8hrs daily. I also sprayed the soil w/ sulfur soap water mixture to combat bugs & fungal issues last week and so far we’re happy. She’s been growing and healing quite rapidly.
Fun fact about these guys, they’re very communicative via their leaves, if they like something, they’ll shift the leaves towards it (like sunlight) and if they’re unhappy, they’re quick to curl or roll their leaves in. Similarly, their leaves will sometimes stand upright at night then drop again during the day to soak up the rays.
ETA: Nyctinasty, or “prayer plant” effect, is the name of the daily up/down leaf movement, and uses water pressure within the plant to achieve this. So yours might pair well with the fish water setup.
