Boy Scout Troop 519 joined force with the Humanities Foundation on Aug. 13 to recognize the official relaunch of the Seven Farms Community Garden — a celebration of nature, resilience, and community spirit.

This past spring, Boy Scout Troop 519 partnered with Lowe’s Companies, Inc. to restore the community garden at Seven Farms. Eagle Scout Oakley Halpern led the project. This revitalized space now offers residents a peaceful place to enjoy fresh air, the sights and sounds of birds and bees, and the simple joy of gardening.

The Seven Farms Community, located on Daniel Island, SC, offers affordable housing to seniors and low-income residents, and is administered by the Humanities Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Its residents form resilient, sustainable communities that the Foundation is proud to serve.
