BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – At Bismarck Community Gardens, residents can rent small plots to grow vegetables, herbs, flowers, or other plants for personal use.

They’re meant for anyone in the community—especially people who don’t have a yard or the right conditions at home—to have a place to garden.

“I think over the years we’ve seen the community come together in many different ways through these gardens, whether it’s through sharing produce or garden ideas,” said Mike Wald, the Facilities and Program Director for the Bismarck Park District.

Wald says the gardening season ends in mid-October.
