Spike, my Haworthiopsis attenuata, surprised me! 🌱 A few weeks ago he sent up a long flower stalk that bloomed, then dried up as usual. I’ve been waiting for the stalk to die back, but today I noticed something wild: a pup growing at the very tip of the flower stem!
From what I’ve read, this isn’t very common since pups usually sprout from the base. I’m going to let the little guy grow a bit and (hopefully) put out some roots before I separate him into his own pot. Just had to share this cool discovery!

That’s so unusual! I have a big chunky one too! Never has it grown a pup at the end like yours!

This happens to my Venus flytraps sometimes when they flower and is referred to as false vivipary, not sure if this is exactly the same but it looks similar!
