Garden River First Nation is welcoming the public to its annual powwow at the community ball fields this weekend.
A number of dancers and drum groups are taking part in the competitive event, which kicked off Saturday at noon with grand entry.
The theme for this year’s powwow is ‘Honouring the Ancestors.’
Tonight’s grand entry is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The powwow continues Sunday with grand entry at 1 p.m.
