What is pulling up my new sod like this? Foothills of NorCal
Sod is about 2 weeks old, got the gopher spikes and now that's not a problem but the past 3 days I wake up to this. Thinking it could be skunks looking for grub? Thanks in advance from California

wild hogs?
Raccoons, looking for grubs
Raccoons, possums, etc.
It’s leaving to find water
Ive only seen this from heavy winds or rain
You can get metal L-shaped stakes to keep the sod pinned in place if you need it. A little overkill most times but you need it.
Assholes undoubtedly
Anything that eats grubs.
Put down worm castings.
Motion sprinkler when something goes over there they get sprayed ..
Nutria

Trash pandas would be my guess 🤷🏽
Try spraying it with liquid fence.
That’s my bad I was just messing around
Could be a number of grub eating animals.
Hogs
Raccoons do that rolling up thing with your yard, sod or not. It’s honestly kind of impressive when you think about it.
Why don’t people just seed lawns? Less of this shit to deal with 🤷🏽♂️
The garden goblin
Raccoon possum skunk
I had the same issue and it was trash pandas every damn time.
On the north east coast it would be raccoons. If you don’t have them in California it’s a similar creature
Might be skunks too
Lawn chair, shot gun, all night playlist. Wait.
