I had a batch that did poorly due to cyclamen mites (confirmed with my microscope), and while I threw most of them away, I put these 2 plus five other trays out in my garden just to see what would happen. Unfortunately, the others got sunburned and set back (moved them to a shadier spot), but these are all right. I haven’t watered them once in 3 months or so, but they get rained on semi regularly. I’ve seen them bone dry in 95 degree heat, drenched for a week at a time during a series of storms, etc. They're tough.
They get about one hour of full sun in the afternoon, shade otherwise. Mites are cleared up! The growth points had been very compressed and hairy before, now they look great.
I’m in Atlanta GA. Not sure what to do with em now, I am not bringing them back inside, and they won’t survive winter. Anyway- a neat little experiment!
