  1. You have the perfect outfit for your topic today. I planted on GreenStalk this year with beans that I wanted to save seeds from for next year and hopefully beyond.

  2. I've harvested bird peppers (chile Pequin) many years. Never planted them. Someone had a plant a few yards over and mocking birds planted seeds on my fence line and I saw a pepper plant and just put a cage around it.

Free peppers, too hot to eat, but worth the price.

  3. I never click so fast either! Lol! Hello, Jess! I hope your day is blessed! You’re such an inspiration to us all! I can’t imagine how you get everything done! But all things are possible with a wonderful family and friends. And most important God is Good, all the time, and All the Time, God is Good!

  4. I needed this today! I was looking around the garden at everything going to seed. This video was a great reminder to go harvest seeds for next year

  5. My brain always needs your regular education on this topic!!! 😂

Also, just LOOK at those hibiscus!!!

  6. I have missed you. Happy to see you. I am doing this very thing right now. In the 108 degree heat. 😁

  7. I went to wildboarfarms online and bought brad's and jess's faves and ended up with 73 tomato plants in my garden. I really love tomatoes. My plan was to see which ones were my favorite so I could just get those from now on, but turns out, I love them all. lmao

  8. I had a couple instances of squash/zucchini plants that produced extremely bitter fruits, and that was from purchased seed! It happens even from store seeds. I’ve never had a volunteer plant produce nasty, bitter fruits.

  9. Hey Jess, I just have to thank you for introducing me to the currant tomatoes. Been growing them for a few years now and get huge harvests from every plant. Absolutely love them

  10. I have a mature cucumber in brine, seeded and peeled, saving seed. Not bitter, slightly tangy fully ripe.

  11. Glad to see you back. Love the dress.

I do love the back to the simple seed saving video you've done here. Im not a beginning gardener, but a lot of the info I wanted and needed when I was wasnt available quite as readily, and I often felt silly asking questions that seemed so obvious to those who had been doing it awhile. You always do it in a way that makes people feel good and not talked down to. Love that you're so approachable, like a friend or sister would be.

Also, it is nice to see a garden in its natural state that looks familiar and not so…um, I guess Instagram "too-perfect." Realness and authenticity is what keeps this channel going, I feel.

  12. Wow! Thank you for this awesomely informative video! I had stored seeds in my garden shed and was so bummed they didn’t sprout. You have taught me so much over the years! And WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT WONDERFUL GARDEN DRESS ? Most awesome gardening seed collecting attire ever!!! Surely I’m not the only one wondering 😂
