Did you know you could grow potatoes anywhere? So whether you’re an apartment, a homeowner, have a big garden, you don’t need a fancy giant raised bed. You can actually use potato grow bags. I got a threeack of 10gallon grow bags. And how you grow them, you want to fill it halfway up with dirt. So once you keep seeing it vine, or I should say sprout, you’re going to keep adding dirt all the way up. Let me show you. Best way to get a potato to sprout is you’ve probably already done it on accident. Just put it in your pantry somewhere dark and it will not take long. and then just cut it up if it’s a big potato. I have two different kinds of potatoes. I have regular yellow potatoes and then I have purple potatoes. So, what I’m going to do is since this is a small one, I’m just going to put it in the dirt and cover it up until it starts to vine. Then, I’m going to add the yellow ones to the other bag. And what you want to do when they’re very big is cut them up and leave them on a counter for a day so this either doesn’t mold or does not brown. So you want one eye, which is this, and just put it right under the dirt and cover it up. Now once it gets taller, start adding the dirt. And you can actually use these and you will see the potatoes growing in them once they are down there. They have the little covers. You can even put a little label in here.
