hello i have a mother of thousands and i've recently noticed that the little buds are growing a lot bigger then usual they usually fall off or get knocked off should be taking them off so the plant doesn't focus its resources to those buds or does it not matter it sits outside in the sun it's a west facing deck though i water it whenever the dirt looks dry or i let it get rain

Is you’re in the US, it’s invasive. If you are as int the States well, whatever you do, please be careful with it!

You can absolutely pull them off. Especially if they don’t seem to be falling on their own.

    Leave them at your peril.
I had one of these, then they took over.
If you want the mother of thousands to colonize your life, by all means, let them do their thing.

Note: each of those pups has the potential to create a new plant and they don’t need much to get started. They will start dropping on their own very soon, if left.

You should take the whole plant off and destroy it

People hate on this plant way too much.

*But* ideally you should not be keeping it outside. If you must keep it outside, keep it somewhere that there is a lower risk to spread (patio without cracks in the boards, an extra large decorative pot that will catch the babies). It’s not likely to survive winter in KY but it absolutely could if you have a mild winter that doesn’t dip below freezing.

For the sake of your neighbors, yes. And then move the plant indoors.

Leave them. Pluck them. Live your life. It isn’t invasive if it can’t survive the winter in your area. Bizarre comments in here.
