I got this burtoniae a couple of weeks ago and have been in love with the pinkish red leaves coming in. Is there any reason to be concerned about the color? I’d love to let it continue to sun stress as long as it’s healthy for the plant. Thanks for any feedback!

All good! Mine is almost entirely red!

  2. Mine gets direct sun from sunrise until about noon, and has been doing really well – tons of growth, and deep, dark colors.

Those are new leaves, which often come in pink. Older leaves will become a rich purple if allowed. All perfectly fine 🙂

You can tell if there’s too much sun because the leaves will start to discolor and be different than the pretty sun stressing color

When it starts going chlorotic, as long as the colors are vibrant you’re good, if stuff starts looking chlorotic or pale or bleached it’s too much

new growth looks like this then fades to green. i don’t see any sunstress on the rest of the plant.
