the monarch showing has been pathetic, like 7 max. the SWALLOWTAIL GANG is out in force though so i havent really noticed
Latter-Republic-4516
I’ve seen them every day, some days even multiple times per day for the last couple of weeks.
CrepuscularOpossum
Better than last year! There have been times when I’ve seen 3 of them chasing each other around my garden!

My yard is frequented by Tiger Seallowtails this time of year. There must be passionflower growing somewhere in the swamp behind my home because I’ve been blessed with a number of Gulf Frittilary and Question Marks.
Unfortunately, despite the fact that my asclepius tuberosa has flowered and made seed pods, twice this summer, I haven’t seen any Monarchs.
NuclearChickenzz
All over the place. Probably three a day for the last month. They seem to be doing fine.

I have over 50 monarch caterpillars in the garden, 3 chrysalises that I can find, and so many flying all around! Last year I saw a few and had 7 caterpillars.

Finally spotted one Monarch in my yard today. She laid eggs on my whorled milkweed (my common, swamp, and butterfly milkweeds went untouched by butterflies this year), I also have dill in my raised bed but haven’t seen any swallowtails.

We typically don’t see them where we are, and if we do find them on the milkweed, we maybe find one or two caterpillars or eggs. We’re in the woods and I think a bit hard for them to find, and low on flowers to pull them in, because critters keep eating my garden.
This year they showed up a good week earlier than we’ve found them, and there are dozens of caterpillars out there munching away (hopefully not being eaten by the groundhog)
So it’s a better year than normal for us, but we don’t get much to start. 🙂

Blazing meadow star will bring them in like crazy. I had very few sightings, but now that it’s blooming they are always out there. My neighbor who is very into a tidy lawn even mentioned how nice it is to see them.
I planted asclepias tuberosa two winters ago. This year I saw the first adult monarch. I’ve seen one at a time on three different days. No caterpillars yet.

I haven’t seen any in years, and this year I started throwing natives all over the place and I’ve seen at least 2! Yesterday one flew over to my milkweed so I’m hoping for babies.

fewer than 10

I have had fewer than 10 monarchs and found only two cats this year. Makes me very sad.
I have a ton of other pollinators. My first black swallowtail showed up in July and brought a few friends with. Several giant black wasps and dozens of common Eastern bumblebees. And there are smaller bee-like creatures that are gray and black striped….i have no idea what they are. Have not been able to get a picture of them.
The gold finches are here eating all of the sunflowers I plant for them, five northern leopard frogs are enjoying the place and seven hummingbirds have been showing up for the feeders and cardinal flowers.

I’ve had many 10-13 or so. Such a lovely site when they’re flitting about.

I think I’ve seen at least one everyday for the past month or so.

Have not seen one this year, usually they at least come for the zinnias
Have seen several fritillary butterflies and hummingbird moths though

Many more this year than last. Several caterpillars on our milkweed as well.

They’re always on my blue mistflower

ngl, That’s amazing! Sounds like your garden is a monarch paradise this year! 🦋

I have nine chrysalis in the chicken coop and 14 Cats on twi milkweeds plants.
This was a good year.
Here is one pumping and drying its wings earlier today. There were two that came out their cocoon.
First year I’ve noticed several. 😊 and I even spotted three little caterpillars!

Bravo facilitating a positive environment for these needy babies!

SE PA and they’ve been much more abundant this year than last.
Mysterious-Panda964
I haven’t seen any yet, big yellow ones and black ones here
WarpTenSalamander
Two the entire summer. Normally they hang around for a few months. And I have more blooming natives, including milkweeds, than ever before 🤷♀️

There was just this one day where there were a dozen in my garden, all at once! It was a magical moment! Regular days I see like one or two a day out there
looking4info1956
I’ve seen one. First one I’ve seen in a long while. Seeing a lot of swallowtails.
