I just bought this plant on clearance. Are these spider mites? I don’t see any webbing but I’ve seen a few of these crawling on the leaves.

  1. Looks like springtail from the soil. They help decompose organic matter so harmless to your plant. Spidermites dont move quickly like that.

Looks like a springtail to me!! Friend not foe! They feed on mold and decaying plant matter. If you have an abundance of them, it may be worth checking the roots to see if you have root rot.

This is too quick for a spider mite. You can try and look for other telltell signs to confirm or deny. (Like, small webbing)

Friends move fast, enemies move slow. That’s what I have been taught when it comes to plant pests.

Definitely it isn’t thrips or spider mites.

This looks like a soil mite, little guy is just a little lost

What’s the long thing that runs up the stem in the back in the last millisecond?

I am afraid it might be spider mites. but these kind have been the easiest ones to get rid of somehow. quarantine the plant immediately so they don’t spread. hose the plant leaves in shower to dislodge the mites, including undersides of the leaves. after that neem oil + dish soap + water dilute treatments. i have gotten rid of them many times.
