Whether it is a happy occasion like a wedding or anniversary, or a somber event like a funeral or memorial service, Vilblooms has you covered.
“When it comes to customer service, we go above and beyond,” said Vilblooms Floral Design Studio owner Kay Henriques. “It has always been a dream to open a floral shop, and we opened on Valentine’s Day.”
Since then, Vilblooms Floral Design Studio has offered a full range of services, including daily fresh flower arrangements, corporate and office floral packages, special event and wedding floral design, sympathy arrangements, and memorial pieces.
The studio features a team of experienced floral designers who handcraft arrangements daily. Customers can expect fresh, high-quality blooms from premium suppliers, with pricing that ranges from $25 grab-and-go bouquets to luxurious custom designs for corporate clients. They also offer natural health care products.
“This isn’t just about selling flowers,” Henriques explained. “It’s about being there for the community’s milestones – from birthdays to weddings to moments of remembrance. We want to be the florist Pompano Beach trusts and turns to.”
Vilblooms Floral Design Studio recently held a ribbon-cutting. Pictured are Mayor Rex Hardin; Kay Henriques, owner; Cynthia Ferguson, owner of Vilblooms Cosmetics; Arina Birikuov, florist; Gaby Elgueta, studio manager of Vilblooms; and Evencia Janvier, CEO of the Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Originally a chemist, Cynthia Ferguson, owner of Vilblooms Cosmetics and Kay’s mother, decided to make natural products, which is something that also makes Vilblooms unique.
“I had a skin problem, mainly Eczema, and everything I tried, really never worked,” Ferguson said. “I just decided to make my own thing. I started to research herbs and flowers to know what they are good for, and I came up with a lot of ideas.” She made soaps, lotions, deodorants, face creams, shampoos, and conditioners.
“All the products here are natural, and they are different from the others,” Ferguson continued. “They won’t irritate your skin unless you are allergic to some plants. We try and make our products the best.”
Vilblooms Floral Design Studio plans to offer corporate floral programs for medical offices, law firms, hospitality venues, and other professional spaces.
Studio manager and communications coordinator Gaby Elgueta said their customer service separates them from their competitors.
“Every call that we get, we take personally,” Elgueta said. “It would be like any family member telling me what they want, and it is that personal. We make sure that they love everything they get. We will show them a sample from before, and then we will design whatever we can from before so they can have what they want.”
Don’t know what you want? Don’t worry.
“Sometimes people come in and they have no idea about flowers and I explain to them what they are getting,” she added. “We made sure we got the best vendors and the best flowers. Some people know what they want, so they may pick something on our website, and they may have a picture, and we will try to match it as much as we can.”
Elgueta said some people are picky with colors. “With weddings, they want pink, but they might want a certain shade of pink, so you have to really be on top of it,” she said. “We are so happy to come to work, and we love to work with people who are going through all types of things like weddings, anniversaries, and funerals. We take care of them and make sure they get what they love, and they get it for their loved ones.”
Henriques said if you call by noon, they should be able to do same-day delivery.
“A lot of the deliveries we do for free depending on how far they are,” Henriques said. “One of the sweetest things is if people are coming from out of town and they don’t know the area, or they are staying at a hotel, we would take care of everything. We drop the bouquets, even if it is late. No problem, we’ll take care of it.”
They are open Monday through Saturday, with future plans to launch seasonal workshops, holiday decorating services, and partnerships with local wedding venues and event planners. They also offer local delivery throughout Pompano Beach, Coral Springs, and surrounding areas.
The business recently held a grand opening celebration with Mayor Rex Hardin handling the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
