I have a ton of this substrate I use for my snake’s vivariums and I was wondering if all the ingredients would be suitable for my neon pothos and monstera deliciousa. I think most of them are fine to use in houseplants but I’m new to aroids and not entirely sure.

Ingredients are: fir bark, coco coir, cypress mulch, New Zealand Sphagnum moss, calcined clay, and horticultural charcoal.

I’m planning to mix it together with some Fox Farm Ocean Forest and maybe some perlite. Thoughts?

I use my reptile substrate all the time for potting. I just make sure that it has perlite added if needed or anything else that I want to add. I find that it is good to use what’s left over after I’ve refreshed my enclosures.
