Ginger requires hot, humid conditions and is best grown in a greenhouse. I’d put it on a windowsill if a greenhouse isn’t available. If you want it outdoors, wait until it’s established, then plant outdoors late next spring. It’ll require mulch/fleece when it goes dormant over winter.

Use a cloche until it is established

Unfortunately it’s a bit late in the season to be planting it outside. I bet it’ll thrive somewhere hot and humid like a bathroom though.
