Hello! First time here, and first time for me going to the botanical gardens in Oslo. There i found this strange hanging plant with no explanation to it. It seemed to contain its own bit of dirt/subtrate. Most curious thing ive seen today.. Among other interesting plants. Anyone know what this is?

I think i see at least three different plants. The center piece is a staghorn fern and over that is a species of drynaria. There might also be another fern next to that but i cant tell if that’s something else or the drynaria’s young growth.

Staghorn newbie here. Are the tips
    Supposed to be brown?

Big staghorn ferns are often hung like this. They usually grow in the crevasses of large trees with shady canopies.

A staghorn fern! You can tell (by the way it is) by the leaves that form the kind of shield around the base

It’s a Staghorn fern. Beautiful and can grow to extra-large proportions. Frequently seen hanging a few feet below the underside of a large tree like an Oak.
