This photo was from 4 days ago and they said they mowed my lawn 8 days ago. I've got yellow foxtail in my lawn as well today that is up to 19 inches long, and this guy is saying "yea well it rained a lot". Is this just complete bullshit or is there even a 1% chance yellow foxtail can grow 15+ inches in 8 days? This is in the Midwest btw.

My lawn gets this way a week after being cut. We water every other day for 5 min in the morning and the grass gets cut around 2-3 times a month. I don’t think it’s likely that you have just normal grass growing. Might be some grass looking weed in there that’s growing faster than everything else.
I’m in the Midwest, and this lawn hasn’t been mowed in well over a week. This is what my lawn looks like when it’s pushing close to 2 weeks honestly.
