    I don’t want to hurt the plant but the soil is so compacted and hydrophobic 😭 hard to remove

    Set it in a bowl of water for a few minutes and let the dirt fully soak in the water until it softens, and then you can tease it out. The roots are resilient though – don’t worry if you have to break some. They grow back.
