I know they're not on the right soil right now. I'm gonna fix that asap because they're mighty bloated and the soil is soaking wet. Still a very happy find in a store where I didn't expect them!

Can someone tell me how to care for the babies? Do I place them on op of the soil in their new pot? Would they need more water?

Also what type of substrate is in the pot currently?

It should be mostly (80-90% – opinion varies) inorganic such as mix of course sand, pumice, decomposed granite (some add loam or perlite, many argue perlite isn’t as good as the pumice)

And a very small amount of peat (like Canadian peat moss), just make sure it’s ground up peat and brown soil looking- not long fiber or the green peat (there’s so many kinds of peat for different types of plants)

I’m not sure about the watering needs for the baby – it likely is a bit different (likely requires a bit more water than the mature plant).

The watering schedule for a mature plant is – to Water When:

Tops of the leaves are wrinkling

    Leaves are not currently splitting

    Soil is completely dry

Typically the plant is dormant in the winter (might depend where you are located if the plants “winter” lines up with yours) – so no watering then.

Hope this helps and isn’t just information you already know.
